Who we are at Spin City
At Spin City we pride ourselves on our inclusive environment for all; our studio offers a fun and challenging approach to pole and aerial fitness in a welcoming and professional environment. Providing a friendly atmosphere and being a welcoming space for everyone is one of our top priorities, whether you’re a complete beginner, a professional performer or someone in between!
Spin City was established in Bristol in 2007 by Kate Edwards with the aim of getting more women into exercise. Kate understood gyms and sports clubs, could often prove an intimidating environment to women – especially if you have been out of exercise for a while. With Spin City, the idea was to create exercise classes for women that provided great fitness benefits in a social, fun and friendly environment that was open to women of all ages, sizes, abilities and fitness levels.
Kate expanded Spin City to Exeter, Newbury and Brimpton with a host of Spinderellas and Spinderfellas, throughout the years including more disciplines into the timetable including pole, aerial hoop, trapeze, aerial silks, dance, burlesque, stretch and much more!
We take our responsibility to you seriously; all classes at Spin City are taught by our fully trained team, who go through a rigorous in-house training process. All instructors hold first aid and training in their teaching areas, with many holding additional fitness industry qualifications. Our parent company, Spin City Aerial Fitness Ltd., is one of the UK’s biggest providers of endorsed instructor training in the UK, offering face to face training courses in the UK and online courses worldwide.
